Monasib outdoors

Monasib was outdoors on November 15th 2009 as it hosted its gentle jog/walk, tree planting event and sale. See pictures & description on 'Monasib in action'.

Immediately below is an account of our September 27th 2009 event...thanks to all, as always...

Thank you to all those who participated in Monasib's 2nd outdoor event, Sunday, September 27th 2009 (our first outdoor event was the launch of the company on May 10th, 2009 Mother's Day, at the Cape Town Sea Point Promenade). Among the highlights from the 27th were women arriving wearing their Monasib gear in the most wonderful, stylish and original ways, including Aunty Ayesha (now 73 yrs), who had used the additional fabric after hemming the leg of her cotton track suit to make a beautiful and highly innovative piece of head gear. Hats off to all of you.

Despite the fact that Vredehoek and the rest of Cape Town had heavy rainfalls late into the night on the 26th, Sunday (the 27th) was an absolutely stunning day. Clear blue skies, crisp air. Perfect hiking weather! Thanks to all of you for bringing the sunshine with you.

Not only was it fun to see the participants arriving in their garments, it was equally fun for us to see new garments leaving. Where will you take these garments? To what peaks and valleys? We are looking forward to hearing the stories, as always, especially in our review section, on our Facebook page.

We are also looking forward to seeing you offline again. Our next event...a gentle jog (and walk) and tree planting ceremony...another sale, together with the pink lecoste shirts. November 15th. All day, hopefully. Stay tuned.
